About this Map
This carefully drawn, artful map of Upper Red Lake captures both the lake’s bathymetry and the rural landscape surrounding it. Detailed depth contours reveal a generally shallow, irregular basin with numerous points, coves, small islands, and subtle underwater features. The map follows the lake westward into the narrow, winding Red River, creating a particularly interesting contrast between the broad eastern basin and the river-like western reaches.
Upper Red Lake lies immediately northwest of the Village of Gresham, which appears at the lower-right edge of the map along with Memorial Park and Riverside Park.
