About this Map
This carefully drawn, artful map of Pike Lake captures the lake’s broad, rounded basin and the varied underwater terrain hidden beneath its surface. Bathymetric contours show a deep central-western basin reaching approximately 45 feet, along with another distinct deeper area toward the southeastern shore and broad shallower shelves around much of the lake. Roads, individual buildings, wetlands, wooded areas, and shoreline neighborhoods are rendered alongside the bathymetry, providing a detailed portrait of both the lake and its surrounding landscape.
The eastern shoreline borders the Pike Lake Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest, where the map shows trails including the Ice Age Trail and Red Trail winding through the wooded landscape. Residential areas are concentrated along the western and southern shores, with landmarks including Reef Point Resort, Uncle Larry’s Rustic Inn, and Johnny’s Landing. State Highway 60 passes just north of the lake, while County Road K skirts the southern end, illustrating Pike Lake’s distinctive setting where established lake communities meet the forests, wetlands, and glacial landscape of the Kettle Moraine.
