This carefully drawn, artful map of Middle McKenzie Lake captures a large, broadly rounded Northwoods lake with an irregular shoreline of bays, points, and gently curving reaches. Detailed bathymetric contours reveal a surprisingly intricate underwater landscape, including submerged humps, ridges, steep breaks, broad shelves, and numerous changes in lake-bottom relief. Depths reach approximately 40 feet, with especially complex contour patterns along the eastern and southern portions of the lake.
